Wedged between Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Holon and the fields of the Mikveh Israel agricultural school, Azor is a small local council on the south-eastern edge of Tel Aviv, set up in 1948 on the site of the village of Yazur and granted local council status in 1951. Route 44, the old Tel Aviv to Ramla and Jerusalem road, runs through the middle, with the junction with Highway 4 close by; metropolitan buses pass frequently, but there is no station in town, the nearest being in Holon. Azor is mostly residential, with a commercial strip along the main road and low-rise streets behind it. For an appointment, driving in on Route 44 is the simplest option; avoid rush hour on the Tel Aviv to Rishon LeZion corridor and look for a space in the side streets.
