A dermatologist is a medical specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair and nails. They treat acne, psoriasis, eczema, infections, suspicious lesions and skin cancer, perform biopsies and minor excisions, and prescribe medication. Some dermatologists also practice aesthetic medicine.
