Osteopath / Acupuncturist
I’m Yaniv Eliyahu, a certified osteopath (DO) specializing in the treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and functional disorders, with a particular focus on the back and spine, posture, pelvis, knees, and feet. My approach is based on looking at the body as a whole while tailoring treatment to each individual patient, with the goal of understanding the contributing factors behind the problem, reducing pain, and improving movement and function over time. I work with adults, athletes, and patients dealing with chronic and complex pain, using a range of therapeutic techniques according to each patient’s needs and clinical findings.

What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a therapeutic approach that treats the body as a whole system. Treatment focuses primarily on the musculoskeletal system and movement, while attempting to understand what factors may be contributing to pain or functional limitations.
What are you treating?
I treat a variety of problems and pains, mainly back and neck, posture problems, shoulder pain, pelvis, knees, ankles and feet. In addition, I treat cases of chronic pain and complex functional problems.
Do you only treat back pain?
No. Although the back and posture are central areas of the clinic, I treat the entire musculoskeletal system and can also work on pain in the shoulders, knees, pelvis, ankles, and feet.
What does the first treatment look like?
In the first meeting, I begin with a conversation and diagnosis: I ask about symptoms, medical history, injuries, habits, and other factors that may be relevant. A physical examination is then performed, and a personalized treatment plan is developed based on the findings.
Do you only treat the area that hurts?
Not necessarily. Sometimes the source of the pain or the factors that influence it are not located exactly in the area where the pain is felt. Therefore, I examine the body and movement more broadly and adapt the treatment to the findings.
Does osteopathy include "canucks"?
Yes, but not necessarily. Manipulative techniques are only part of the osteopath's toolbox. Treatment can also include work on joints, muscles and soft tissues, movement, mobilizations and other techniques – depending on the patient and the findings.
Is the treatment painful?
The treatment should not be an experience of significant pain. Sometimes there may be a feeling of pressure, sensitivity or slight discomfort during the treatment, but I adjust the intensity of the treatment to the patient and their condition.
How many treatments are needed?
There is no set number of treatments that is right for everyone. It depends on the type of problem, how long it has been present, the patient's condition, and the response to treatment. After diagnosis, you can get a better picture of what to do next.
Do you take care of babies?
Yes, in appropriate cases. Treatment of infants is different from treatment of adults and is carried out gently and according to the age and condition of the baby. If necessary, I will recommend a medical examination or referral to an appropriate professional.
Can osteopathy replace a doctor or medical tests?
No. Osteopathy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis in cases where medical investigation is required. If during the questioning or examination a condition that requires further testing is suspected, it is important to refer the patient to the appropriate medical provider.
What is recommended to bring to treatment?
It is recommended that you come in comfortable clothing that allows for movement. If you have imaging tests, medical summaries, or documents relevant to the problem for which you came, you can bring them.
Where do the treatments take place?
The treatments take place in my two clinics – in Kfar Saba and in Aveniye Hefetz in Samaria.
Are there refunds from cancellation companies or health funds?
There is a refund for insurance policies with private health insurance. That includes a written commitment to complementary medicine. To make sure you can receive a refund, contact the agent or the company itself about your insurance.
